It has been announced today that Prince Harry will not serve in Iraq. The head of the British army, General Sir Richard Dannatt, made the announcement, leaving the Prince to be "very disappointed."

The reason behind the move appears to be because of reports in Iraq of insurgents making plans to specifically target the prince. It is in fact a complete reverse decision from the Ministry of Defence, who last month said that the prince would serve.

The general stated that another of the reasons for not sending the prince was due to the fact that there was such widespread public knowledge of the deployment. He did however have praise for Harry, describing him as an officer of "..undoubted talent."
